Gisel Florez is an artist of manual camera & video techniques incorporating conceptual practice. She explores our interconnected nature within the space of existence through the visual study of waves. With 17+ experience in photographic arts in NYC she's developed a deep artistic path towards beauty found within light & time. Her artworks have been shown at gallery exhibitions & blockchain events such as NFTNYC, Winkleman Gallery, NYICG WallSpace, Museum of Crypto Art & "She Art" VR exhibition in Cryptovoxels. This began the pursuit to establish Gisel Florez Studio (GFS) a still-life focused, energy driven, photographic practice. The majority of my works are shot with a digital 4x5 Leica System. The curiosity of surroundings and existence has always sparked my directions in life. Placing myself at the heart of life’s process has always been the most rewarding. From traveling to areas few have traversed, challenging the physical & mental through ultra marathons, flying at full speed as MVP jammer on a roller derby team, to the home births of my two children. In 2017, I even established a raw ingredient ice cream company. In 2018 my photographic works expanded into cinematic capture & movement studies. In 2019, she began the journey into cryptoart, tokenizing & selling digital verified artworks through Ethereum blockchain on curated sites like SuperRare & Known Origin. My life's work of art has been observing & translating all pieces of physical life organizing it into my visual existence.
